National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) Announces Application Period for Urban and Community Conservation Grants

WASHINGTON DC (January 21, 2025) — The National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) has announced the open application period for the 2025 Urban and Community Conservation (UAC) grant initiative. The grants are open to any conservation district within the US and the territories NACD serves, state associations, and tribal organizations. Proposals are due by April 1, 2025.

Working Lands Conservation Corps Partners Announce Request for Proposals for Host Organizations

WASHINGTON DC (January 14, 2025) — The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD), The Corps Network, and AmeriCorps announced the request for proposals for host organizations for the second cohort of the Working Lands Conservation Corps (WLCC).

This past year, WLCC engaged over 100 corps members, serving 28 organizations in 25 states.

National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) Urges Congress to Include Producer Assistance and IRA Conservation Provisions in End-of-Year Bill

WASHINGTON DC (December 16, 2024) — For the past several weeks, Congress has been developing an end-of-year bill to extend federal funding before the December 20 deadline, further extend the 2018 Farm Bill, and provide economic assistance for struggling producers, among other priorities. After failed negotiations at the leadership level, the current draft of this bill does not include economic assistance for struggling producers.
