CONWAY, SOUTH CAROLINA (February 15, 2024) — More than 3,000 undergraduate students at Coastal Carolina University were named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2023 semester, including Avery Dominique, from Milan, Illinois (61264). Students who make the Dean's List have achieved a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher (3.25 for freshmen) for the semester.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (February 15, 2024) — The US Department of Education appointed Erika Linden MA CHC, chief compliance officer at Des Moines University (DMU) in West Des Moines, Iowa, to its negotiated rulemaking committee on Program Integrity and Institutional Quality. She was nominated for the position by the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, which advocates for the nation's 41 accredited colleges of osteopathic medicine in 35 states.

KENNESAW, GEORGIA (February 14, 2024) — Ranasia Clark of Davenport, Iowa, has been named to Kennesaw State University's Fall 2023 Dean's List in recognition of academic achievement.

Majoring in Computer Science, Clark is among the more than 8,000 students named to the Fall 2023 Dean's List. To qualify, students must earn a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and complete a minimum of nine credit hours.

A member of the Class of 2024, Jagusah was named to the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (February 13, 2024) Two of America's most respected and widely-honored theater and film artists — writer/director Jim Simpson and actor Sigourney Weaver — will jointly deliver the address at Monmouth College's 167th Commencement Exercises, to be held on Sunday, May 19.

Simpson and Weaver, who have been married for nearly forty years, will speak on the theme of "creative partnership."

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (February 12, 2024) — The Augustana Choir, under the direction of Dr Jon Hurty, will perform concerts in California March 21-25, followed by a home concert on April 6 in Davenport.

The 54-voice ensemble, known for its innovative programming, attention to detail, and musical excellence, will perform at five Southern California churches. The tour will include collaborations with choirs directed by Augustana alumni Brent Wilson and Jens Hurty, Dr Hurty’s son.
