Babes (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX) - IMDb listing.

Back to Black (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - Pretty offensive as an Amy Winehouse bio-musical, but Marisa Abela plays even her soap-opera set pieces for all their funny, pitiable, heroic, tragic worth. IMDb listing.

Back to the Future (PG; Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - IMDb listing.

Black God, White Devil (not rated; FilmScene at the Chauncey: Sunday, May 26, 3:30 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

Challengers (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX) - A deep dive into competitive and sexual power dynamics so overflowing with passion that your admission ticket should come with a complimentary mini-fan. IMDb listing.

The Commandant's Shadow (PG-13; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX: Wednesday, May 29, and Thursday, May 30: 4 & 7 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

The Crow: 30th Anniversary (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, Marcus Sycamore Cinema: Wednesday, May 29, and Thursday, May 30) - IMDb listing.

The Fall Guy (PG-13; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, Voy 61 Drive In Theatre, FilmScene at the Chauncey, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - The leads are attractive and charming. The action is swift and loud. The jokes are unmissable. And if you spend more than five seconds thinking about any of it, the whole thing crumbles like a particularly flimsy house of cards. IMDb listing.

Farki Farki (not rated; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX) - MarcusTheatres.com.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, The Last Picture House, FilmScene at the Chauncey, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - IMDb listing.

The Garfield Movie (PG; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX: Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - IMDb listing.

I Know What You Did Last Summer (R; Marcus Sycamore Cinema: Sunday, May 26, and Tuesday, M<ay 28, 7:45 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

I Saw the TV Glow (PG-13; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, The Last Picture House, FilmScene at the Chauncey) - I found myself as hypnotically entranced by the weirdness, humor, melancholy, and unbridled emotionalism of this singular achievement as I was by any number of unforgettable Twin Peaks, Buffy, or X-Files episodes in the '90s. IMDb listing.

IF (PG; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, Voy 61 Drive In Theatre, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - This mawkish family adventure is like a cinematic Etch-a-Sketch that writer/director John Krasinski can't stop shaking. IMDb listing.

Into America's Wild (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - IMDb listing.

Jerusalem (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - This visually spectacular, 45-minute edu-tainment on Israel's "cradle of civilization" is really quite a glorious piece of work. IMDb listing.

Jolly Roger (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - Putnam.org.

Journey to Space (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - Says narrator Patrick Stewart of the genial scientists on-screen, "It's all about getting the job done and having a little fun" - an apt description for this edu-doc itself. IMDb listing.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (PG-13; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - While director Wes Ball's new installment in the rebooted franchise is gripping and frequently exciting and a hell of a lot of fun, what most floored me wasn't the action, but rather the faces. IMDb listing.

Love Me If You Dare (not rated; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX) - IMDb listing.

Museum Alive! (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - Putnam.org.

National Parks Adventure (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - This expectedly gorgeous endeavor is also unexpectedly, even thrillingly, varied in presentation: sensationally informative, joyfully inspiring, and even laugh-out-loud funny. IMDb listing.

Oceans (G; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - The movie's 85 minutes occasionally crawl by as deliberately as its sea-floor denizens, but it's hard to be too disappointed by a film that provides so many extraordinary sights. IMDb listing.

Robinson Crusoe (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - Putnam.org.

Secrets of the Dunes (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - Putnam.org.

Sight (PG-13; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - IMDb listing.

Spider-Man: Far from Home (PG-13; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX: Monday, May 27, 7 & 7:15 p.m.) - Spider-Man and his environment were so refreshingly, recognizably human in the summer of 2017 that it's a true bummer to see our friendly neighborhood web-slinger so routinely Engame-d. IMDb listing.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 (R; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX, Marcus Sycamore Cinema) - A reboot of tandard “Boo!” effects offset by occasional nods to the cruel patience of the previous films' set pieces, with neither of our leads engaging enough to make us anxious about their fates. IMDb listing.

Superpower Dogs (G; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - We're given just enough information on how the heroic pups pull off their feats of derring-do to wholly appreciate them in practice, with the duties of the stunningly well-trained Ricochet proving especially moving. IMDb listing.

Tarot (PG-13; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX) - This boring, unsatisfying horror flick is practically screaming for a Final Destination-like presentation, and as in the outer space of Ridley Scott's Alien, apparently no one can hear it. IMDb listing.

Terrestrial Verses (not rated; FilmScene on the Ped Mall) - IMDb listing.

Tomb Racers (not rated; Putnam Museum & Science Center) - Putnam.org.

Top Gun (PG; The Last Picture House Rooftop: Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26, 8:30 p.m.) - Nearly 40 summers later, this squarem silly blockbuster still features guilty pleasures, plus a few legitimate pleasures, I'd willingly shell out a few bucks for. IMDb listing.

Twister (PG-13; FilmScene in the Park: Saturday, May 25, 8:30 p.m.) - IMDb listing.

Unsung Hero (PG; Davenport 53rd 18 + IMAX) - Given that so many works of this sort feel predictable to a fault even from their first trailers, I was thoroughly grateful for the unanticipated character complexity. IMDb listing.

Wildcat (not rated; FilmScene on the Ped Mall) - IMDb listing.
