JOHNSTON, IOWA (January 25, 2021) — Join Iowa PBS in celebrating Black History Month this February with timely, educational programs highlighting stories of courage, strength, and perseverance. These programs will offer viewers opportunities to honor the contributions and achievements of African-Americans by learning more about their stories.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (January 22, 2021) — Celebrate the work of Iowa filmmakers and explore the art of filmmaking with brand-new episodes of The Film Lounge. Iowa PBS announced today the upcoming fifth season of its popular series that showcases short films created by Iowans. This season includes two new episodes featuring seven short films with varying styles and subject matters.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (January 20, 2021) - A groundbreaking partnership between dance, music and video arts continues as Iowa PBS and Ballet Des Moines present Acts of Resilience | Vision. The hour-long performance premieres on-air and online Friday, February 5, 8:30PM, with an encore presentation on Sunday, February 7, 1PM.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (January 13, 2021) - Iowa PBS will present exclusive statewide coverage of the 2021 Iowa State Dance Team Championships on Saturday, January 30, 7PM. The two-hour program showcases highlights of all the winning routines and features interviews with coaches and dancers. The competition will be rebroadcast Sunday, January 31, 1PM.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (January 5, 2021) — Iowa PBS encourages you to be a part of PBS American Portrait, a national storytelling project which invites individuals to participate in a conversation about what it really means to be an American today. A digital-first initiative, PBS American Portrait begins as a platform for people to share photos, videos, and text submissions to capture the state and spirit of our nation.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (January 4, 2021) Iowa PBS will provide live coverage of Condition of the State 2021 on air and online. Governor Kim Reynolds will present her Condition of the State address to the Iowa Legislature on Tuesday, January 12, 6PM.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (December 22, 2020) Join Iowa PBS virtually on Tuesday, January 12, 7PM, for a VIP Watch Party featuring American Masters: Laura Ingalls Wilder: Prairie to Page. Featuring never-before-published letters, photographs, and family artifacts, the film explores the context in which Wilder lived and wrote, as well as the true nature of her personality.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (December 7, 2020) Join Iowa PBS and Ballet Des Moines virtually on Saturday, December 19, 10:30AM, for a special family-friendly experience featuring Peter and the Wolf. After the 30 minute pre-recorded performance, a musician from The Belin Quartet and a ballet dancer from Ballet Des Moines will join the event live for an experience for the whole family.

JOHNSTON, IOWA (December 3, 2020) Iowa PBS will present an exclusive live broadcast of It's a Wonderful Life The Radio Play, produced through a partnership with the Iowa Stage Theater Company. The program will premiere live on December 19, 7PM, on statewide Iowa PBS, with repeat broadcasts on December 20, 2PM, and December 24, 8PM.
