Nataly Kogan to give keynote address

With a goal of raising awareness and funds to end childhood hunger in our community, River Bend Foodbank will host its inaugural Women Fighting Hunger Event, Thursday, March 28, 2019, 5:30 p.m., at Rhythm City Casino, Davenport. The cost to attend the event is $45 for individuals, or $400 for an advance table of 10. All proceeds will support programming and initiatives that feed hungry children.

Feeding America® Network Food Banks across the Country Promote Hunger Action Month

DAVENPORT, IOWA– During the month of February, Quad City area businesses and organizations collected funds and food for River Bend Foodbank. This year, the Community Hunger Drive engaged 51 businesses. They held a variety of activities throughout the month, including cake contests, bake sales, change wars, and chili cook-offs, to engage their employees in raising donations for River Bend Foodbank.

Due to expected inclement weather conditions, the February 7th food distribution, which was scheduled to be held at River Bend Foodbank (4010 Kimmel Drive, Davenport), is being cancelled. We regret that the distribution will not take place, however, the safety of our guests, volunteers, and staff is always our first consideration. Weather permitting, the next distribution at River Bend Foodbank will take place on March 7th

DAVENPORT, IOWA– During the month of February, nearly 50 area businesses and organizations will be involved in collecting funds and food for River Bend Foodbank by taking part in the Community Hunger Drive. The businesses will be holding a variety of activities throughout the month to engage their employees in raising donations for River Bend Foodbank.

Davenport, IA – Bank of America is partnering with River Bend Foodbank through their Give a Meal program to help the 1 in 8 adults and 1 in 5 children who face hunger in eastern Iowa and western Illinois. This program helps reduce food insecurity in our community and in communities around the country. For every $1 donated ONLINE, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation will give $2 more, up to $1.5 million nationwide.
