WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (January 11, 2024) — Purple and Proud: The Campaign for Des Moines University has twice surpassed its funding goals.

The campaign was publicly launched in December 2018 with an initial goal to raise $25 million. Following donors' generous support, DMU announced the extension and doubling of the campaign goal in December 2020 to further support the university's mission.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (December 11, 2023) — Kelly John DPM MHA FACFAS DABPM, a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon, has joined the Des Moines University Clinic — Foot and Ankle as a clinician and assistant professor in DMU's College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. The clinic is located at 3200 Grand Ave. in Des Moines.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (November 28, 2023) — Members of the osteopathic medicine Class of 2024 in the Des Moines University (DMU) College of Osteopathic Medicine achieved the highest pass-rate among all osteopathic medical schools nationwide on the Level 1 exam of the COMLEX-USA national board exams, which is taken by all future osteopathic physicians. The DMU class attained a 98.6% pass rate, which was a full eight percentage points above the national average.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (October 10, 2023) — Des Moines University, located in West Des Moines, Iowa, and Indian Hills Community College, which has campuses in Centerville and Ottumwa, Iowa, have announced a new partnership to create enhanced pathways for IHCC students seeking careers in occupational therapy. The partnership is intended to benefit students while helping build Iowa's health-care workforce.
