Hi-
I am so happy to see the Dog Park catagory this year - thanks! People loves their pets so I would like to see more questions about pets. Obviously owning a dog boutique I think a great question for next year would be "where is your favorite place to take your pet?" or even "favorite pet shop?" would be super...just a suggestion!
Thanks,
Kelly

What happened to the Nightlife section? Best bars, DJ's, etc.?

And FYI, when you're done taking the survey, it puts up a page telling you thanks for participating "in the 2007 survey. Results will be posted Feb. 13, 2008"

@Eh?: Nightlife will be a component in the second session of balloting. We thought the old ballots were too intimidating with the number of categories, so we broke it up into two parts.

Life Fitness Center has the greatest staff, workout sessions at various levels, instructors who know how encourage you and push you to do your best(within reason), good equipment, and there is a lot positive to be said for the patrons also. Hope to see you all there!

written by Holly, March 03, 2009
Where is a dog park in the quad cities? you mean ben butterworth?
And I agree with the nightclub/bar section. What about best summerfest (ya maka my weekend, gumbo ya ya, red white and boom, tugfest). How about best high school? get more people involved, have them vote for themselves!!!!

I hope the results have where these places are, such as the dog park, including address, hours and usage... also, I think the next survey should include a place for people to make their own "best" question and answer it. Thanks for the survey!

I didn't see the question about a favorite dog park, but if I would've, I would vote for the Bettendorf dog park.

I missed that question too - my vote would be for Moline's Dog Park by the soccer fields

to Jessica Williams and Terry Reamy: the Dog Park question was in Part 1 of our Best Of balloting. That ended in early Spring. Part 2 is ongoing now and ends on August 21st. Hope you catch the Dog Park question in next year's ballot.

You can't beat O'Toole's for the cleanest and best tattoo artists. Ron O'Toole just did a tat for me that was to cover an old one and he did a great job...I am very happy and he was not overpriced. I would recommend him to everyone! Thanks to O'Toole's!

It would be fun to have a Worst survey sometime: worst show at the iWireless; worst local TV commercial; most overrated restaurant; nastiest public restroom; most annoying DJ; most offensive billboard; most unnecessary elected office; band whose volume most exceeds its quality -- the list could go on & on.

They should make a worst list in the Quad Cities.....
written by Bing420, March 09, 2010
Honestly, they should make a worst of the Quad Cities list. It'll show who needs to improve their establishment, and even if they pay attention to the opinions of the population. If they don't improve what they are on the list for, then you can safely assume they don't care and will fail.

The Great Wall, Chinese restaurant is cozy, friendly and spotless (even the bathroom!).
Especially it serves delicious food, with discounts for seniors and students (10%).
Lunch menu of 20 selections ($4.95): Won-ton soup, platter of entre with rice, crisps, hot tea.
I discovered it by accident (Locust: across from Taco Bell) but everybody seems to love it.
