AUDITIONS

May 11: The Wizard of Oz Toto Auditions - Timber Lake PlayhouseBring your dog to the theatre and see if your Fido has what it takes to be a star on the TLP stage. The audition is open to all dogs, and prospective candidates for Toto should exhibit an energetic and expressive demeanor. Rehearsals for The Wizard of Oz begin on June 29 with performances from July 11 through July 28. Toto won't be called for every rehearsal, but must be available for every performance; owners will also be expected to attend necessary rehearsals and performances. May 12: Lend Me a Tenor - Proscenium PlayersSeeking eight performers for Ken Ludwig's Tony-winning backstage slapstick, running August 2 and 3. Prepare a one to two-minute comedic monologue and be prepared to read from the script; those auditioning for Tito and/or Max should also prepare 16 bars of a tenor aria. May 18 & 19: The Money in Uncle George's Suitcase / Of Mice & Men / My Son Is Crazy, but Promising - Richmond Hill Barn TheatreAuditions for the final three plays in the Richmond Hill Players' 2024 season: the Pat Cook comedy The Money in Uncle George's Suitcase, running August 15 - 25, directed by Joe DePauw; the John Steinbeck adaptation Of Mice & Men, running October 3 - 13, directed by Justin Raver; and the comedy My Son Is Crazy, but Promising, running November 14 - 24, directed by Dana Skiles. Roles are available for 18 males (ages 20s - 60s) and 14 females (one teen, the rest ages 20s - 60s). Be prepared to read from the scripts; you only need to attend one day of auditions. July 13 & 14: A Streetcar Named Desire - Playcrafters Barn TheatreSeeking adult performers for Tennessee Williams' dramatic classic, running Sept. 13 - 21, directed by Mike Schulz. Through May 17: The Bikinis and The Addams Family - Circa '21 Dinner PlayhouseSeeking performer submissions for the musical revue The Bikinis, directed by Brad Hauskins, with production dates, including rehearsals, June 27 to August 24, and the Tony-nominated musical comedy The Addams Family, directed by Amy McCleary, with production dates, including rehearsals, August 22 to November 2. Accepting online submissions, all ethnicities are encouraged to submit; all roles in these professional productions are paid.
