DES MOINES, IOWA (May 2, 2024) — The Libertarian Party of Iowa is pleased to announce its upcoming Nominating Convention, set to take place on June 8th, 2024, 12-4PM, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars #9127, located at 4029 Urbandale Ave., Des Moines, Iowa, 50310.

This convention marks a significant milestone for liberty-minded individuals across Iowa as delegates gather to nominate candidates who embody the principles of limited government, individual liberty, and free-market economics.

Jules Cutler, Chair of the LPIA stated: “This convention will be a wonderful opportunity for the Libertarian Party of Iowa to exercise our status as a major party. We will be nominating candidates from all across Iowa for positions at the federal, state, and local level. Also, the Libertarian presidential candidate will be nominated, so it’s a very consequential event on the national level, as well.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with like-minded individuals, nominate candidates for various political offices, and contribute to shaping the future of the Libertarian movement in Iowa.

Cutler continued: “While national elections often receive most of the spotlight, the place where candidates have the most power to enact policies which promote liberty is at the local level. I’ve personally spoken with many of these candidate hopefuls, and the level of passion they have displayed is inspiring. This year our party expects to make great accomplishments in defense of individual rights, and this convention will be a critical step in that process.”

The Libertarian Party of Iowa is committed to America’s heritage of freedom: individual liberty, and personal responsibility, a free-market economy of abundance and prosperity, a foreign policy of non-intervention, peace, and free trade. Find out more at lpia.org.
