Image Danny Boy comes to Elkader Opera House on St Patrick's Day The Keystone Chorus will perform Irish songs for St Patrick's Day at the Elkader Opera House March 17, 4:15 p.m., preceding the St Patrick's Day Parade. Entry will be by free-will donation. Two Quartets from the Keystone Chorus will perform numbers in a Barber Shop style, such as, "Danny Boy." The community is invited to enjoy the Keystone Chorus perform their wonderful harmonies in Celtic tunes from Ireland. The Keystone Chorus is a chorus of men that sing 4-part a cappella music. The chorus will be followed by the annual St Patrick's Day Celebration Parade. The community can then enjoy dinner at Johnson's Restaurant while listening to organ music. Johnson's will likely be serving the traditional Irish staple food of 'tatties'. Normally the Keystone Chorus only perform two shows annually, one in the spring and one in late fall, so this is a great opportunity for another chance to see them. p.m., with the boisterous fun of America's only Victorian magic-lantern show.
The show is an authentic 1890s visual extravaganza projected on a full-sized
screen - the kind of show that led to the movies! Valentine stories, animated
comedy, and songs -all dramatized on screen by a live showman and
singer/pianist. The audience participates in the fun, creating sound effects,
and joining in chants and sing-alongs.

For 12 years, The American Magic-Lantern Theater has delighted audiences

Comedy Sportz Quad Cities to Hold Late Night Match December 23
 
Rock Island, IL – December 15, 2006 – Comedy Sportz Quad Cities announces it will be playing a late match on December 23. The show will be held at
9:30 p.m., after the usual 7 p.m. show. This will be held at its home field at 1818 3rd Avenue, Rock Island IL.  Reservations may be made through the Circa 21 box office at (309) 786-7733, ext. 2.

This match will be held as a fundraiser for the 2007 World Comedy Sportz Tournament, which will take place in July 2007. Comics from more than 20 cities from the United States and England will descend upon the Quad Cities during week long matches, in order to find out who is the roughest, toughest, and the funniest of all.

Comedy Sportz: the interactive all ages improv experience, making the world and the Illinois and Iowa Quad Cities funnier four minutes at a time. Shows are Friday and Saturday evenings. Doors open at 6:30 for the 7 p.m. show. $8 in advance, $10 at the door. Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made at the Circa 21 box office at (309) 786-7733, ext. 2.
