WASHINGTON — Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.)  today re-introduced the Saving Kids from Candy-Flavored Drugs Act to increase the criminal penalties for marketing candy-flavored drugs to appeal to children.  Law enforcement reports that drug dealers frequently combine drugs with chocolate or fruit flavors or package the drugs to look like candy or soda to attract youth.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dave Loebsack released the following statement today after House Republicans pulled the legislation that would repeal the ACA.

“Today is the inevitable result of seven years of choosing cynical political rhetoric over honest policy debate. I remain committed today, just as I have been every day, to work in good faith with anyone in an honest attempt to improve the lives and healthcare of hardworking Iowans.”
