
WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (March 27, 2025) — For the 23rd consecutive year, Des Moines University (DMU) Medicine and Health Sciences' College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery students retained a 100% residency placement rate on national Match Day. The CPMS Class of 2025 joins an esteemed group of alumni as they enter the health-care workforce.
"The consistent perfect match rate demonstrates the commitment to excellence displayed by our students, faculty, and staff," says Kevin Smith DPM ('95) PhD FACFAS, DMU CPMS dean. "We are proud and excited for these highly-skilled students who are committed to advancing patient care and the podiatry field."
CPMS students gathered virtually at 10:30AM before logging on to the match day website at 11AM to find out which program they matched with. Congratulatory messages were delivered by DMU President and CEO Angela L Walker Franklin PhD, DMU Alumni Board President Marc Jones DPM ('11), and Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs Sean Grambart DPM ('01).
