BUFFALO, IOWA (September 2, 2024) — Continental Cement Davenport Plant will host a ribbon cutting to celebrate the Green America Recycling Expansion on Tuesday, September 10, 1PM. They are located at 301 E Front St in Buffalo, Iowa. (They will begin check-ins and welcoming at noon.)

At Continental, cement is our business. We started making cement in 1903 and are the proud producers of high-quality cement that has been used in many iconic construction projects, like the Empire State Building and the Panama Canal. More recently, our cement has been used in the Minnesota Vikings’ new football stadium and the St Louis Cardinals’ newest baseball stadium. CCC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Summit Materials Inc.

For more than three decades, Green America Recycling LLC has been using waste materials as an alternative to coal, to fuel the cement manufacturing process. The alternative fuels are a safe and effective energy source and provide the needed energy to produce a quality cement product.
