EAST MOLINE, ILLINOIS (September 11, 2023) — New for 2023, the TBK Bank Quad Cities Marathon will utilize the popular I-74 pedestrian path to take Marathon and Half Marathon participants over the iconic Mississippi River.

The I-74 pedestrian path is quickly becoming a Quad Cities “must see and do” landmark and the TBK Quad Cities Marathon will embrace its use as part of the 26th edition of the marathon and half-marathon races on Sunday morning, September 24, 2023. Creating an experience, as well as, participants safety, have always been top priorities for our organization. This course enhancement will achieve those goals.

Half-marathon participants will access the path after the one-mile point of their race and marathoners will access after seven miles. Participants will pass the glass oculus near the crown of the bridge and see sweeping views down river. All participants will exit the path in Bettendorf and follow routes similar to the 2022 course. See the updated course map above.
