DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 16, 2022) — Two Quad-Cities advertising and multimedia companies with over 60 years combined experience are teaming up to join forces.

Davenport-based advertising agency TAG, and Rock Island film and video production company Dphilms, are forming a partnership to navigate the regional media landscape in a rapidly changing digital era.

The companies will continue to operate independently with the exception that Dphilms will now provide the video and film services for TAG clients. In addition, the TAG video team will join and expand the Dphilms team. All staff will be retained, and, in fact, the companies are looking to eventually expand.

Dphilms CEO Phil Dingeldein will lead the efforts for the newly combined video team, which will have space in both Dphilms’ 2227 3rd Ave, Rock Island, Illinois location and TAG’s 230 E 2nd St, Davenport, Iowa, offices, doing work for companies nationwide.

“This now positions two great companies which have had a very successful track record for the past 30 plus years to move forward aggressively for years to come,” said Mike Vondran, owner and CEO of TAG. “When the opportunity to grow by bringing these two companies and teams together presented itself I jumped at it. This combining of talent and capacity comes at a time when photography and video and film production for marketing, advertising and social communications is exploding with demand. Through the impressive amount of talent between the two companies, we hope to be able to satisfy that growing demand for an expanding number of clients both regionally and nationally.”

“It’s a great opportunity for both businesses,” said Phil Dingeldein, Dphilms founder. “It’s a terrific collaboration between two successful creative teams. It’s a great opportunity all around for everyone.”

The two businesses’ rising histories have run parallel to one another. TAG was founded in 1990. Dphilms began in 1994. Both have a long and honored reputation among Quad-Cities businesses. Vondran and Dingeldein have been friends for over three decades, and the duo have collaborated in the past. With the explosion of social media and web work and increasing demand for high-quality video, film, photography, and production services, Vondran saw a need to increase capacity, and the opportunity to team with Dphilms in doing so was a perfect match.

“Dphilms has been an outstanding brand for decades, they’ve done some terrific work, and we’ve worked with them before,” Vondran said. “We’re looking forward to working with Phil and his team. They’re a talented group that does great work.”
