I’m happy to recognize small businesses, in Iowa and across the country by celebrating National Small Business Week.
In Iowa, 99.3 percent of all businesses are small businesses. Also, almost half of Iowa employees are employed by small businesses.
Government regulations have a disproportionate impact on small businesses, often costing them 20 percent more than the average for all businesses.
We need to remember that small businesses are the main source of America’s innovations and economic strength.
We should be proud of and support these men and women who work hard to keep our communities vibrant.
