Kicking off Child Abuse Prevention Month in April

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (March 28, 2019) — The Child Abuse Council and Illinois Casualty Company will partner in hosting a Pinwheel Garden dedication at 10AM on Saturday, March 30, at Forsberg Retirement Village, 2400 1st Street A Dr, Moline, Illinois.

The garden dedication and planting are a part of April’s National Child Abuse Prevention Month, which is dedicated to raising awareness of child abuse and highlighting ways to prevent it. The Pinwheel Garden is a symbol of healthy, happy, and full childhoods. Forsberg Village residents, staff of the Child Abuse Council and Illinois Casualty Company employees will be present to plant the pinwheels.

“This is an amazing way to celebrate individuals who are helping to ensure that so many enjoy a happy and healthy childhood. We will be planting 125 pinwheels to represent the 99 ICC employees and 26 Forsberg residents who enthusiastically support this worthy cause,” said Arron Sutherland, President/CEO of Illinois Casualty Company.

Community members are invited to attend the garden planting and dedication ceremony. The Pinwheel Garden will be on display throughout the month of April.
