Des Moines, Iowa (01/23/19) — Tomorrow, at 9:00AM, Thursday, 01/24/19, after having won in district court initially, The ACLU of Iowa will present oral arguments in its Good-Beal transgender medical-rights lawsuit in front of the Iowa Supreme Court.

Tomorrow's weather is expected to be bitterly cold. ACLU members have traditionally answered media questions at the bottom of the steps of the Iowa Supreme Court building, in the parking lot area. They will instead take any media questions at a media availability in their downtown Des Moines office building, The Insurance Exchange Building, 505 5th Avenue, in the 4th-floor conference room at 11AM.

Legal Director Rita Bettis Austen will be available there for questions, along with John Knight, Director of the ACLU LGBT and HIV Project. Daniel Hoffman-Zinnel, Executive Director of One Iowa, who filed an amicus brief in the case, will also be there. They will be live-streaming the availability on their ACLU of Iowa Facebook page.

You can also text Veronica Lorson Fowler any questions that you have during that time (info below):
