Hosted by Mandala Integrative Medicine and designed to help attendees start the new year right by learning about the preventative power of proper nutrition, the second-annual Integrative Lifestyle Forum will promote the improvement of work-life balance, growth and success, productivity, and well-being, and includes presentations by nationally recognized speakers Dr. Sayed A. Shah, Brooke Lemke, and frequent national-TV presence Jay Jacobs.

A native of Karachi, Pakistan, and current Davenport resident, Dr. Shah is board-certified in internal medicine and co-founded Davenport's Mandala Integrative Medicine in 2014. With Integrative medicine a personalized medicine that deals with the root causes of disease, Dr. Shah searches for underlying triggers that contribute to health problems, and his presentation will focus on how one can increase energy levels to improve overall health.

Lemke graduated from America’s first accredited college of hypnotherapy – Hypnosis Motivation Institute, College of Hypnotherapy in Tarzana, California – in September 2014, and at Genesis Health System, is the first on-staff certified hypnotherapist for a health-care system in the state of Iowa. She also has own her practice in Bettendorf, Brooke Lemke Hypnosis, and hosts a Web series titled Hypnotic Talk.

As a former contestant on the eleventh season of NBC's The Biggest Loser, Jacobs lost 181 pounds in eight months, and was tagged as one was one of the Final 4 in the season finale. Jacobs has subsequently become a health and wellness ambassador on TV and radio programs such as Today, Good Morning America, and Fox & Friends, and has also encouraged individuals to embrace healthier lifestyles in Time magazine, the New York Times, and Readers Digest.

The Integrative Lifestyle Forum will be held at the Radisson Quad City Plaza Hotel twice on January 6 – from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and again from 1 to 4 p.m. – and the $35 entrance fee includes interactive and participatory demonstrations, mindfulness techniques, inspiring breakout sessions, and light and healthy snacks.
