Codfish Hollow's annual two-day music festival will find its 2017 headliner performing sets as a solo artist and a band frontman, with folk-rock and Americana artist Nathaniel Rateliff gracing the Maquoketa-barn stage on both Friday and Saturday night.
Praised by Spin magazine for his “massive, alluring voice” and described by Billboard magazine as “a must-hear,” the singer/songwriter and guitarist had a platinum-selling 2015 hit with his Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats ensemble's “S.O.B.,” and his works as a solo musician include 2011's In Memory of Loss 2013's Falling Faster Than You Can Run, and 2015's Closer. At Garp 2017, Rateliff, in his first solo folk set in years, will headline the evening of September 8 performing numbers from those three releases, while September 9 will feature the artist performing in the highly anticipated Codfish Hollow return of Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats.
Friday's Garp 2017 lineup also boasts performances by Israel Nash, Pearly Gate Music, Vera, and JR Sunde, with Saturday's schedule filled out by artists including Amasa Hines,.
