AUDITIONS

April 13 & 16: Genesius Guild Summer Season. Seeking performers for Genesius Guild's Lincoln Park productions of Sophocles' Oedipus Rex (June 7 - 15), Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing (June 21 - 29) and Antony & Cleopatra (July 12 - 20), and Aristophanes' Peace (July 26 - August 3). Be prepared to read from the scripts. Augustana College Anderson Pavilion (3750 Seventh Avenue, behind the Brunner Theatre Center, Rock Island IL). Sunday, April 13 (1 - 4 p.m.), Wednesday, April 16 (6 - 8 p.m.).

April 18 & 19: The Play That Goes Wrong - The Spotlight TheatreSeeking performers for the Tony-winning slapstick comedy running August 8 - 17, directed by Thomas Alan Taylor. Prepare a one-minute comedic monologue or stand up routine, and be prepared to read from the script. Rehearsals begin June 16 and run Monday thru Thursday 6 - 8:30 p.m. until tech weekend. June 26: The Liuttle Mermaid Jr. - Ohnward Fine Arts Center. Seeking students ages 8 (or going into 2nd grade) through 18 for the one-act version of the stage musical adapted from Disney's Oscar-winning animated smash, running August 2 and 3. Rehearsals Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - noon. The cost for kids to participate is $50; for families with more than one child, the cost will be $50 for first child, $25 for second, and $15 for child number three and more. A limited number of no-cost scholarships are available. Ohnward Fine Arts Center (1215 East Platt Street, Maquoketa IA). CALLS FOR ENTRY

Through May 12: Saturday Night Fever -Timber Lake PlayhouseSeeking three local performers, ages 40s-60s, for two featured roles (three scenes) and one cameo role (two short scenes) for the stage adaptation of the Oscar-nominated musical running May 30 - June 15, directed by Tommy Ranieri. Rehearsals begin on May 13 with minimal calls that could take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday - Saturday, with flexibility in building our schedule around actor availability. Full availability needed for rehearsals from May 23 - 29. Performers do not need to be strong singers or dancers. Timber Lake Playhouse (8215 Black Oak Road, Mt. Carroll IL).
