Pink Floyd's Roger Waters is making a rare soundtrack appearance later month, contributing a new, original song - "Hello (I Love You)" - to the New Line soundtrack to The Last Mimzy. The sci-fi tale of siblings finding a strange box of toys opens later this month, with a score by Lord of the Rings composer Howard Shore.
In other soundtrack news, Quentin Tarantino's and Robert Rodriguez's Grindhouse opens on April 6, preceded earlier in the week by the release of the Warner Bros. soundtrack to Death Proof, Tarantino's half of the double feature. Peppered with dialogue from the film, the CD features songs by Joe Tex, Eddie Floyd, Willie DeVille, Jack Nitzsche, Pacific Gas & Electric, and Ennio Morricone.
The Nike Sport Music store on iTunes has just released its third exclusive Nike: Original Run workout mix to get hearts pumping in running shoes or cycling cleats, this time by producer/MC Aesop Rock. Previous "installments" came from LCD Soundsystem and The Crystal Method.
