The Quad City Symphony Orchestra, led by Music Director Mark Russell Smith with guest violinist Erin Keefe, perform on Saturday, November 1, at 8 p.m. at the Adler Theatre and Sunday, November 2, at 2 p.m. at Centennial Hall playing Brahms' luminous Violin Concerto which overflows with rich melodies and joyous dances. Also on the program are Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 "Pathétique," his final work, which swings from exuberance to heart-rending despair, suffering, and loss. Also, celebrate James Romig's World Premiere for the Quad City Symphony Orchestra.

Erin Keefe is quickly establishing a powerful reputation world wide. She is a top prize winner of international competitions and has given recitals in America, Austria, Germany, Korea, Poland, Japan, and Denmark. "The Brahms is my absolute favorite concerto to perform," she said. "It is technically quite challenging but incredibly rewarding. I have played it many times but not at all in the past five years, so I'm really looking forward to this performance."

Quad City Symphony Orchestra welcomes Randy Nunez as the new Box Office Manager. Randy joins the QCSO with a rich work history including 20 years with John Deere as a Program Administrator for Financial Services. He has worked part-time for both the QCSO and the Adler Theatre in box office sales. Randy has a Master's degree in Business Administration from St. Ambrose University.
