WHO: Five River Bandits players and three members of the club's field staff, including manager Omar Lopez, hitting coach Joel Chimelis, and athletic trainer Michael Rendon.

WHAT: A free event - "Learn To Be a Better Player with the Quad Cities River Bandits" - in which River Bandits players and coaches help teach boys and girls in grades K-8 how to work as a team with hands-on mini-lessons. There will also be an autograph and Q&A session. Students are asked to bring a bat and glove.

WHERE: Baseball Diamonds at DeWitt Aquatic Center, 1000 14th St., DeWitt, IA, 52742

WHEN: Monday, June 9, 10:00-11:30 a.m.

WHY: The River Bandits will work directly with students, teaching them how to stop bullying, and to build baseball, teamwork and sportsmanship skills.
