DES MOINES, IOWA (March 14, 2022) — Iowa’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased to 3.7 percent in January from the revised December rate of 3.9 percent. The state’s jobless rate was 4.4 percent one year ago. The US unemployment rate in January increased to 4.0 percent.

Notices to 123,634 registered voters were sent recently to Iowans who have filed a change of address with the US Postal Service.

Voters that receive these cards in the mail should indicate if the new address is incorrect and quickly return the card to the county auditor’s office.
