DES MOINES, IOWA (March 25, 2022) Iowa’s seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate fell to 3.5 percent in February from 3.7 percent in January. The state’s jobless rate was 4.4 percent one year ago. The US unemployment rate decreased to 3.8 percent in February.

The report measures member expectations for sales, capital spending, and employment for the next six months. If the index measures above fifty, sentiment is positive. MUSCATINE, IOWA (March 28, 2022) — The Muscatine Art Center will offer two programs on the historic Japanese Garden this spring. The first, set for Thursday, April 7, 5:30PM, is an informational session on the rehabilitation of the garden. MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (March 28, 2022) — A three-term congressman from Silicon Valley who wants to help bring technology jobs to Middle America will deliver Monmouth College's 2022 Midwest Matters Lecture on April 8.

Representative Ro Khanna of California will give a talk on "Bringing Tech Jobs to the Heartland." Free and open to the public, the talk will be at noon on Friday, April 8, in the College's Dahl Chapel and Auditorium.
