DES MOINES, IOWA (November 14, 2022) — Efforts are underway to update Iowa’s distracted-driving laws in response to several fatal crashes in which drivers were found to be using their phones while driving. A campaign called Drive Safe Iowa has launched a petition to collect names of supporters to update Iowa’s distracted-driving laws.

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 14, 2022) — Iowa is kicking off its celebration of National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) while also celebrating news that the number of Iowans taking part in apprenticeships has never been higher. New data from the US Department of Labor/Office of Apprenticeship recently revealed that in federal fiscal year 2022, Iowa reached a record level of 9,731 active apprentices and created the highest number of new programs in the country.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (November 11, 2022) — Augustana College students will perform "Cabaret" November 17-20, 2022. Several principal roles are double cast and will be performed by different actors on different nights. This was to accommodate the growth of the college's music theatre department and gives a chance for more students to shine on stage.
