DES MOINES, IOWA (February 28, 2025) — Governor Kim Reynolds released the following statement after signing Iowa Senate File 418 into law:

“Today, I am signing into law a bill that safeguards the rights of women and girls.

It is common sense to acknowledge the obvious biological differences between men and women. In fact, it is necessary to secure genuine equal protection for women and girls.

DES MOINES, IOWA (February 27, 2025) — In a report issued today, the Iowa Attorney General’s Office has concluded that the January 24, 2025, fatal shooting of Brandon Mitchell by two Des Moines police officers was legally justified.

ANKENY, IOWA (February 27, 2025) — Across Iowa, many once-bustling biodiesel plants now sit idle or operate at minimal capacity, casualties of volatile market conditions and federal policy uncertainty. MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (February 27, 2025) — Keri Dodson, a 2018 graduate of Monmouth College, has been named the school's new senior marketing director. She will start her position on March 3.

Since November 2021, Dodson has worked for Bridgeway, serving as the behavioral health clinic's community engagement director and implementing a strategic marketing plan for its seven central Illinois locations.
