DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 15, 2020) Gilda’s Club is hosting a free virtual workshop titled “The Many Faces of Grief” on Tuesday, July 28, 6–7:30PM, via Zoom.

Join Gilda’s Club Quad Cities’s social work intern Theresa O’Keefe for a presentation and discussion about the five stages of grief and how they can appear from a wide variety of life changes. Loss of a loved one, personal illness or injury, divorce, or adjustment in job status are among the events that can spark waves of grief.

This workshop will explore:

  • Emotional and physical symptoms of grief;
  • Myths about grief;
  • The 5 Stages of Grief;
  • How the 5 Stages can be applied to various life changes; and
  • Strategies for coping with grief.
