ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 10, 2024) Augustana College senior Corey Whitlock, a Creative Writing major from Davenport, Iowa (52806), was nominated to submit a “More Than I Imagined” profile by Mark Beinborn, women's basketball head coach.

Annually, faculty nominate Augustana's seniors who have achieved remarkable academic or personal growth to appear in the college's “More Than I Imagined” series. Read Whitlock's profile at More Than I Imagined.

Beinborn said that Whitlock excelled in the classroom and on the court because she worked hard and kept her priorities in order.

"Corey is one of the most hard-working, selfless players that I have coached. I couldn't be too hard on her because she expected more of herself and constantly pushed through obstacles," said Beinborn. "She led by example on a daily basis, and her leadership is going to be missed."

After graduation, Whitlock plans to work in Texas where she will pursue a career in the film industry and write novels.
