Touring in support of his 2024 album Critterland that Slate magazine hailed as "a worthy addition to the canon of country-folk classics," Arkansas-based singer/songwriter and guitarist Willi Carlisle headlines an August 6 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, his music pulling from traditional American folk, punk, and country, and many of his songs containing themes of drug abuse, queer life, and rural America.

Performing in support of their May release Shoot the Moon, and treating music lovers to what Glide magazine calls their “inexplicable way of giving old-time blues and jazz a fresh, contemporary feel,” the touring musicians of Davina & the Vagabonds headline an August 3 concert at Maquoketa's Codfish Hollow Barn, their latest album praised by KAXE radio as "catchy and hopeful with the group's usual dose of fun, while also a bit more up-front about the complexity of life."

Currently touring in support of his 2023 release Automatic, the artist's first album of original material in five years, the widely adored musician, actor, and daytime-drama icon Rick Springfield takes the stage at Davenport's Rhythm City Casino Resort Event Center on July 27, the chart-topping rock singer/songwriter a longtime fan favorite for hits including "Affair of the Heart," "Love Somebody," and the Grammy Award-winning "Jessie's Girl."

An Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Award winner who can boast a remarkable 18 chart-topping hits in a mere nine years, Thomas Rhett, on July 30, serves as the opening headliner for this year's Mississippi Valley Fair's grandstand acts, the singer/songwriter sure to demonstrate why USA Today labeled him “The Prince of Country Music.”

On July 31, this year's Mississippi Valley Fair brings with it grandstand performances by a pair of Billboard-charting talents in Koe Wetzel and Priscilla Block, the former an acclaimed country rocker whose top-10 hits include this year's "Sweet Dreams" and "High Road" (featuring Jessie Murph), and the latter of whose country-pop song "Just About Over You" went viral on TikTok, reaching Nashville music executives who signed her to Mercury Nashville.

Boasting two songs that peaked Billboard charts in "Kiss Kiss" by Chris Brown and "Low" by Flo Rida, the latter of which was named third in the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade, rap and R&B sensation T-Pain acts as grandstand headliner for the August 1 Mississippi Valley Fair, the artist's "Good Life" and "Blame It" winners of Grammy Awards for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Performance, respectively.

An eagerly awaited weekend of live performances returning to the Quad Cities for the 53rd time, the Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival will, from August 1 through 3, again enjoy residency at the Rhythm City Casino Resort Event Center. For 2024, the Davenport venue will host performances by eight local and national jazz acts: Chicago Cellar Boys; El Dorado Jazz Band; Graystone Monarchs; Mike Davis' New Wonders; Paul Asaro & His Rhythm; T.J. Muller's Jazz-O-Maniacs; The Dooley Band; and the Bix Youth Jazz Band.

A disparate pair of independent-music acts will take the stage at Davenport's Raccoon Motel for two concerts on July 27, the first with the rockers of Deserta performing in support of last year's album Don't Dare Stop, and the second with Georgia-based folk-rock, country, and blues vocalist Pony Bradshaw celebrating the release of his new recording Thus Spoke the Fool, scheduled for release on August 16.

With the project of married couple Beth Hataway and Johnny Veres delivering, according to Americana UK, "an atmospheric folk sound [that] will capture your attention and draw you in emotionally," the touring artists of Electric Blue Yonder headline a July 28 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, the group praised by Slant as “a diamond-bright exploration of rock's past, present, and hopeful future.”

Their springtime release Hum of the Road lauded by Saving Country Music as "instilled with insightful road-worn and real-life wisdom," and the artists themselves hailed as "a band that attentive country music fans across the United States revere," the talents of Tylor & the Train Robbers headline a July 29 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, the musicians' latest also praised by Americana Highways for delivering "what made people like Guy Clark and Townes van Zandt legends."
