Producing what Album of the Year calls "an ominous twilight mood blending trip hop, darkwave and ambient for a serious gothic vibe," the independent musicians of Public Memory headline a September 15 concert at Davenport's Raccoon Motel, their 2023 single "Savage Grin" hailed by Post-Punk as a work that "feels as though we’re ensconced in a mountainous hotel lounge or a timeless, glittering ballroom, yet with an underlying sensation of being pursued or haunted."

Performing a special concert event with a fresh style all his own, rising country singer/songwriter Brett Westgrove performs a September 19 engagement in the John & Alice Butler Hall of the University of Dubuque's Heritage Center, an evening that will find the headliner sharing his journey from aerospace engineering to Nashville, and detailing how he overcame the challenges to pursue his musical dream.

An evening of exhilarating metal and hard rock is promised at Davenport's Redstone Room on September 7, when the downtown venue hosts one spectacular show with four fist-pumping acts, including musicians from here in the Quad Cities: headliners Illusion of Fate, and the guest artists of Empty Graves, Wyvern, and Braver Than I.
