CLIVE, IOWA (September 25, 2023) — The Iowa Pork Producers Association is partnering with four Iowa State University football players to promote the pork industry. Through an NIL (name, image, likeness) deal, Cyclones Myles Purchase, Tyler Moore, Tommy Hamann, and Caleb Bacon are leading the new “Purchase Moore Hamann Bacon” marketing campaign. The goal is obviously to push Iowans to buy pork products. More specifically, they want you to purchase more ham and bacon.

CLIVE, IOWA (August 9, 2023) — Special Olympians from across Iowa will receive a unique challenge at the Iowa State Fair. Under the tutelage of Iowa FFA and 4-H members, sixteen Special Olympians will show a pig during the Bacon Buddies® Pig Show on Saturday, August 12, in the Swine Barn.

This is the fourth year for the Bacon Buddies® event at the Iowa State Fair. It is an annual collaboration between the Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA) and Special Olympics Iowa (SOI).

CLIVE, IOWA (July 17, 2023) — More than $20,000 worth of ground pork will be provided to Iowa food banks and pantries because of the inaugural BBQ and Brew at the Ballpark, held last Saturday, July 15, at Principal Park in Des Moines.
