DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 14, 2023) — Mark your calendars for the 2023 Alternating Currents festival August 17-20 taking place across more than two dozen venues in downtown Davenport along with key performances in downtown Rock Island and Bettendorf. AC features over 100 musical performances, comedy sets, film screenings, local art displays and even pro-wrestling.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 6, 2023) — The Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP) seeks artists to create murals during the 2023 Alternating Currents festival. Five artists will be awarded the opportunity to create a mural that embodies the vibrancy of our Quad Cities community during the festival, which takes place August 17–20.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 20, 2023) — The annual bi-state Red, White and Boom in downtown Davenport and Rock Island returns this year on July 3, 2022. Family-friendly activities will take place that evening in Davenport and Rock Island. At 9:30PM, fireworks will be shot, in sync to music broadcast on 97X, from two barges in the middle of the Mississippi River.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (June 9, 2023) — Chamber Vice Presidents of Business & Economic Growth Chris Caves and Tami Petsche have been named to Consultant Connect’s 2023 list of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 8, 2023) — The Downtown Davenport Partnership (DDP) announced it will allocate up to $100,000 to help businesses that were forced to close due to the building collapse at 324 Main St.

Additionally, the Quad Cities Chamber and DDP have partnered with the Quad Cities Community Foundation to accept donations from businesses and individuals through the newly established Downtown Business 324 Main Disaster Relief Fund to help directly affected businesses.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (June 6, 2023) — The Quad Cities Chamber is partnering with Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) and Iowa Economic Development Authority to complete a Laborshed employment study for the Quad Cities area. This study will geographically define which communities contribute to the Quad Cities’ workforce, regardless of political boundaries. This defined area is called a Laborshed area and is based upon commuting patterns.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (May 3, 2023) — The Downtown Bettendorf Organization (DBO) announces Be Downtown, a free outdoor event, 11AM-10PM, Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the 15th St Landing (15th St and State St) — presented by Ascentra Credit Union and the Bettendorf Business Network. This family-friendly event will feature live music, food trucks, and multiple bags tournaments, with cash prizes, children’s activities, and more.
