NorthPark and SouthPark Malls to host Miss Sunburst model search and baby contest

WHO:   NorthPark and SouthPark Malls will host a Miss Sunburst model search and baby contest on Saturday, March 16.

WHAT:  Entries are being accepted now for the Miss Sunburst model search and baby contest.  Winners will go to the state finals in May. The baby pageant is for boys and girls. The age groups are as follows:

Baby - under one year
Tiny - 1 year
Little - 2-3 years
4-6
7 - 10
11 - 13
14 - 17
18 - 27

A king and queen will be chosen in each age group. They will receive a crown and trophy and runners-up in each age group will also receive a trophy and crown. The model search is for girls ages 4 - 27 years old. The age groups are as follows:

Each age group will have a group line up and optional events will be judged. After the group lineup, each child will go on stage one at a time, with one adult and come to the center of the stage. A winner in each age group will receive a crown and trophy and runners-up will also receive a trophy and crown. Each contestant will receive a crown and trophy. Entry forms are available at the Guest Service Center in front of Younkers at NorthPark Mall and at the Mall Office in SouthPark Mall. FOOTBALL FAVORITE ROGER CRAIG VISITS SOUTHPARK MALL

Escape The Heat, Meet The Legend and Bring The Family

WHO:

Roger Craig, the former NFL running back for the San Francisco 49ers will sign autographs and take photos for fans during his visit to the Quad Cities.

Fans will recall that Roger won three Super Bowls in 1984, 1988 and 1989 while playing with football legends Joe Montana and Jerry Rice.

Roger Craig was born in Davenport, Iowa went to college at the University of Nebraska and joined the San Francisco 49ers in 1983. Craig is well-known for his distinctive high-knee running technique. Craig retired in 1993 with the Minnesota Vikings.

Who: Hardly Bland is a new fast food option in the food court at SouthPark Mall. Hemanth Nagaraj opened Hardly Bland on April 24. Hemanth is a graduate of LeCordon Bleu® College of Culinary Arts in Chicago, IL where he studied Indian cuisine.

American Great Steak is open in the food court at SouthPark Mall. This features tender cheese steak sandwiches, turkey clubs and made- to-order fresh fries.
