DAVENPORT, Iowa, May 2, 2016 – Join Metropolitan Community Church of the Quad Cities, with the guidance of local artists Heidi Sallows and Sarah Robb, in collaborating and creating environmentally friendly art for the 15 th Annual Living Lands & Waters Barge Party Art Auction that will be held at Schweibert Park in Rock Island on Thursday, June 2nd from 5:30 – 9:00 pm.

Participants can choose to attend one of two classes held on either Wednesday, May 18th from 12:00 - 4:00 or Saturday, May 21 st from 2:00 – 6:00 pm. Materials, including recycled items collected by the Living Lands & Waters barge team, will be repurposed into three-dimensional pieces of art that will be donated for the annual art auction. The classes are open to adults and teens with a $5.00 suggested donation. SPACE IS LIMITED. If interested, please contact Jennifer Robb at 563-271- 8872 or jennarobb0430@yahoo.com.

The annual Barge Party brings the crew, sponsors and supporters together for the only fundraising event of the year. During the event, the accomplishments of Chad Pregracke, the crew, and the many volunteers who support LL&W’s mission to help preserve America’s rivers will be celebrated. Artists are encouraged to donate environmental-theme artwork made from natural, repurposed or recycled materials, but all donations and media are appreciated. All artists interested in making donations to the art auction must complete the entry form that is located online at www.livinglandsandwaters.org. May 25 th is the final day for submissions.
