An interfaith service, “We Are One Community: Peace, Unity and Love,” will be held at the River Center in Davenport on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 4 p.m.

Rev. Rogers Kirk, Third Missionary Baptist Church, commented, “The purpose of the service is to bring our community together as one community in response to all of the divisiveness caused as a result of violence and the violent response to it. We feel instead of waiting until another tragedy happens here to bring us together we are taking a proactive approach as people of faith to show unity, peace and love. And as people of faith we must lead the way to show we are all one.”
