Join the Davenport American Legion Post 26 and the City of Davenport in recognizing current members of our military and veterans at the annual Veterans Day Parade on Friday, November 11, 10 a.m.

Traffic restrictions will be in place throughout the morning.

This year’s Grand Marshals are Rock Island Arsenal Garrison Commander Colonel Tauke, Command Sergeant Major Callwood and Mayor Frank Klipsch. A Veterans Day ceremony will take place in front of the Scott County Courthouse; 400 West Fourth Street immediately after the parade. The public is invited to a chili luncheon at 12 p.m at the American Legion Post 26; 702 West 35th Street and an open house at VFW Post 828; 101 S. Linwood Avenue from 12 p.m to 3 p.m.

Route:
Parade participants will begin assembling at 9 a.m in the parking lots of the Scott County Administration Building and Scott County Courthouse. The parade begins at Fourth Street and Western Avenue and heads south on Western to Third Street then east on Third Street to Main Street. From there the parade heads south on Main Street to Second Street, west on Second Street then north on Ripley Street to Fourth Street. The parade will disband at Fourth Street and Ripley Street
