On Tuesday, May 16, at 11:00 a.m. the Scott County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Patrol Headquarters, located at 3206 South 16th Avenue in Eldridge.

In 1994 the Sheriff’s Office moved the patrol division to the location at 4715 Tremont Avenue in Davenport. The building was always meant to be a temporary location. As Davenport continued to grow around it, we found ourselves in a bustling, growing area and it became more and more difficult to safely and efficiently dispatch patrol vehicles from this location. In 2012 through an overall County Facilities Plan, locations, options and costs were studied. The location was determined and a $4.5 million construction budget was approved. This facility will enable the Scott County Sheriff’s Office to provide quality public safety services and provide our deputies with a modern facility that assists in the performance of their duties.

The public is welcome to attend the ceremony and tours of the facility will begin at 11:30, following the ceremony. Refreshments will be served.
