Across Iowa, rural communities are facing a shortage of healthcare providers. This shortage makes it harder for folks living in these underserved areas to get the care and services they need and deserve. No Iowan should have to go without access to healthcare simply because of where they live. To help get more quality providers into underserved communities, I reintroduced the Access to Frontline Health Care Act. My bill aims to attract providers to serve in rural communities by creating a new Frontline Providers Loan Repayment Program, which would provide student loan repayment for providers who deliver Frontline Care Services in a Frontline Scarcity Area for at least two years. Every Iowan, regardless of where they live, deserves to have quality healthcare providers close by, and I am happy that the Access to Frontline Health Care Act will ensure just that. I was proud to reintroduce this legislation, and I remain committed to fighting to expand access to quality healthcare services across Iowa.

Sincerely,  Dave Loebsack Iowa's Second District
