Churches United of the Quad City Area is very thankful to the Bettendorf Rotary Club for a $2,000.00 grant, in support of Winnie’s Place, our emergency shelter for women (with or without children) in the Quad Cities who are homeless and/or victims of domestic violence. In addition to shelter, Winnie’s Place offers counseling, advocacy, and education in life skills, so that these women can look forward to a more successful future for themselves and their children.
The motto of The Bettendorf Rotary Club is “Service Above Self,” and the Club funds local organizations that provide basic human services, serve youth, and meet local community needs.
Churches United has a 56-year history of reaching out to our community. As well as Winnie’s Place, Churches United also operates 26 food pantries and 3 hot meal sites.
