Iowans are getting the right care at the right time and in the right setting

(DES MOINES) – Today, Gov. Terry Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds highlighted another Medicaid modernization success story that is demonstrating success in connecting patients with services to live healthier, happier lives. Medicaid patients are getting access to better care, seeing greater flexibility to deliver that care, and ultimately better health outcomes under Medicaid Modernization. 

April Marks 49th Anniversary of Fair Housing Act

(DES MOINES) – Today, at the Administration’s weekly press conference, Governor Terry Branstad, Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds and Executive Director of the Iowa Finance Authority Dave Jamison recognized the importance of affordable housing in Iowa by celebrating the 49th anniversary of the Fair Housing Act and announce a resource to connect Iowans with housing.

Award Winning Projects, Entrepreneurs and Volunteers Honored

 

(DES MOINES) – Main Street Iowa hosted the 31st annual Main Street Iowa Awards Celebration on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines. The program honored the efforts of those who work day in and day out in downtown revitalization in Iowa. The event was attended by approximately 550 individuals representing communities across the state.

Data shows Medicaid population receiving better care while stabilizing the Medicaid budget

(DES MOINES) – Today, the Branstad-Reynolds Administration released new information showing continued success of modernizing our state’s Medicaid program.  Medicaid Modernization is ensuring that members get the right care, at the right time, at the right place.  Iowa’s Medicaid program is also one of the most transparent, outcome-focused, and accountable programs in the country.

(DES MOINES) – Today, Governor Terry Branstad and Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds highlighted the importance of preparing for Iowa’s severe weather season.  The Governor and Lt. Governor were joined by Mark Schouten, Director of the Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEMD).
