Rozz-Tox puts on a free show of Iowa talent on February 7 as a companion event to follow an exhibition opening that showcases new works on paper by artist Lucas Berns. Acts include Quad Cities-based projects Aqualife and Dog Hairs and Iowa City-based projects Haunter and Gabi Vanek, and the show concludes with a special set in which all four of these solo performers play together.

To celebrate the release of a project called Sensei of Syllables, the Rock Island-based MC/poet/spoken-word artist Aubs. (with the period) has assembled a huge crew of Quad Cities-and-beyond artists including Equinox[x], Ahzia, Legnd, Taj, Kels, Orlando Coolridge, Apple Tree, Poor Bill, Da Round Hero, and Sage the 64th Wonder at Rozz-Tox on January 25.

Rozz-Tox continues its Northern Parallels series of curated house and techno events with a January 17 visit from veteran producer FBK, who performs live alongside DJ sets from residents Mike Derer and Higgy.

As time drags closer to the inevitable apocalypse and the modern world continues to develop in grisly and unforeseen ways, we can find some comfort in the fact that there is now more music available than ever before.

Rozz-Tox’s Northern Parallels series of techno/house/electro/club music events celebrates its three-year anniversary with a party headlined by Detroit-born, Chicago-based DJ-slash-producer Jason Patrick, with Northern Parallels residents Higgy and Mike Derer rounding out the bill.
