Now Interviewing | Account Executive PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Employment
Thursday, 21 January 2010 13:43

The River Cities' Reader is now accepting resumes for potential interviews to fill a full-time Advertising Account Executive position.

The qualified candidate will have outside sales experience, preferably in media and advertising.

The Reader Account Executive manages a list of 400+ local, regional and national businesses, divided into groups of Hot, Warm and Cold call statuses.

Face to face meetings, prospecting, media and advertising monitoring, follow up calls, drafting proposals, securing new and renewal advertising agreements, and helping customers develop messaging strategies for print and web campaigns to the Reader readership are all part of the Account Executive day to day responsibilities.

The Reader provides a base salary and a competitive commission, a book of business with a track history of investment, paid holidays and vacation, smart phone and data plan, on-demand customer relationship management tools, thoroughly trackable sales call tools and detailed client contract history at your finger tips.

Plus, the Reader boasts a customer service, advertising coordinator and creative ad services support team that rivals any larger media outlet in the Quad Cities.

We're looking for savvy, outgoing, talented people who understand and can uncover marketing challenges and communicate the value of the Reader's audience to an advertising customer.

If you take initiative and find ways to work smarter -- not harder, this might be for you.

If you have read Jeffery Gitomer or Seth Godin's work, this might be for you.

If you understand the value of asking good questions and listening, this might be for you.

If you know what a close ratio is, this might be for you.

If you enjoy creative & strategic thinking about advertising and marketing and can communicate well in writing and in person, this might be for you.

If you are looking for a career in a professional, but fun and casual, work environment -- where you can be a big fish in a small pond and your ideas and creativity are valued -- consider joining the 17 year old independent media outlet for the Quad Cities -- the River Cities' Reader.
